The handheld gaming device maker announced the Duo Lite Plus addition to its product portfolio without prior announcement. The new model sits between the original Duo Lite and higher-end offerings in the Retroid Pocket range.
Retroid Pocket's upgrade path removes friction for current Duo Lite users. Any customer with an existing Duo Lite can exchange their device for the Lite Plus model at no cost, a move designed to retain its user base while introducing improved specifications.
The Lite Plus entry joins a crowded market of budget-focused retro gaming handhelds. Competitors including Anbernic and Miyoo have similarly expanded their product lines with multiple SKUs targeting different price points and feature sets.
