The asset is currently owned by EQT AB, the Stockholm-based investment firm. GlobalConnect operates fiber infrastructure across Sweden, serving a market where digital connectivity remains a key growth area. The potential acquisition would add to Vauban's existing portfolio of broadband and telecommunications assets across Europe. Vauban Infrastructure Partners focuses on acquiring and developing network infrastructure, particularly in fiber and fixed-line broadband sectors. The firm has completed multiple transactions in European telecom infrastructure over recent years.
