UK CMA MANDATES SEARCH AND AI CHOICE ON ANDROID

The UK Competition and Markets Authority has proposed new rules requiring Google and Android device makers to present users with search engine alternatives at first setup and annually, while also mandating choice of AI assistants on smartphones.
