SONY REVEALS GOD OF WAR LAUFEY FOR PS5

Santa Monica Studio is developing the upcoming title, which will launch exclusively on PS5. Sony has not announced a release date. The new God of War represents a significant departure from previous entries by placing players in control of Faye/Laufey rather than the series' longtime protagonist Kratos. While the tone appears consistent with past God of War games, the character swap signals a new direction for the franchise. The announcement came as the finale of Sony's State of Play presentation, emphasizing the significance of the reveal to the company's PlayStation lineup. Elsewhere: Microsoft confirmed that Gears of War: E-Day will remain an Xbox console exclusive, launching October 6th. The title was previously rumored to be heading to PS5 but will not be making the jump to PlayStation.
