ISS ASTRONAUTS GET LAPTOP UPGRADE WITH HP ZBOOK G9

The ISS Program selected the custom HP ZBook Fury G9 as the station's next standard-issue laptop, according to NASA spokesperson Joshua Finch. The workstations will replace existing systems used by the crew for research, communications, and station operations. HP tailored the ZBook Fury G9 specifically for space station requirements, accounting for the unique demands of the orbital environment. The new laptops represent part of ongoing efforts to maintain and modernize equipment on the ISS, which has continuously housed astronauts and cosmonauts since 1998. Expedition 74 crew members will conduct the transition as part of regular hardware maintenance cycles. The upgrade ensures astronauts have current computing capabilities for their scientific work and daily station operations in microgravity.
