Google is rolling out a new Chrome feature that allows users to save their favorite Gemini AI prompts as "Skills" and reuse them across multiple webpages without retyping.
The update streamlines repetitive AI tasks by letting users store custom prompts in the Chrome desktop browser. Once saved as a Skill, these prompts can be instantly executed across any selected tabs.
Previously, users had to manually re-enter the same AI command each time they wanted to use it on a different webpage. The new system eliminates this friction. A user asking for ingredient substitutions to make a recipe vegan, for example, can now save that prompt and apply it to multiple recipe pages with a single click.
Chrome product manager Hafsah Ismail highlighted the efficiency gains in the announcement, noting that the feature removes the repetition barrier for common AI workflows.
